“God took the strength of a mountain; the majesty of a tree; the warmth of a summer sun; the calm of a quiet sea; the generous soul of nature; the comforting arm of night; the wisdom of the ages; the power of the eagle’s flight. Then God combined these qualities, when there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, and so, He called it…”DAD”.
80. A dad is a person who is loving and kind; and often he knows what you have on your mind. He’s someone who listens, suggests, and defends. A dad can be one of your very best friends. He’s proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong, a dad can be patient & helpful & strong. And each year that passes, you’re even more glad, more grateful and proud just to call him your dad!
81. I love you, Dad, for all the things you do. You make me laugh when I am feeling blue. You can untie the hardest knot of all, although I’ve tugged the lace until it’s small. You know the reason for most everything, like why it rains and why bees sometimes sting; like why the sun comes up and flowers bloom, and why a jet creates a sonic boom. You are the closest friend I’ve ever had. You share with me the times both good and bad. I love you, dad, for all the things you do; but most of all I love you, dad, for you.
82. Always willing, always sharing, always eager to be fair. Always helping, always caring, when I need~always there. Ever loving, ever guiding, ever faithful, ever true. You’re my dad and I take pride in thanking God He gave me you.
83. Even though you were not there, as I came upon this earth, nor the one responsible or present at my birth. You loved me, taught and guided me through these years as I have grown; and you’ve never, ever made me feel, like I was not your own.
84. If someone were to ask me why I’m so proud of you, I’d have so many reasons but here are just a few. Your caring manner with all of us, your sacrificing way; your knowing life’s priorities in living day to day. Your goal to give to each of us, the things we most desire; your time to be that family man, is what I most admire. And though I rarely tell you how much these things mean to me, I realize that you’re a man of rare quality!
A SON NEEDS A DAD…
85...who will never think he is too old to need him.
86…to teach him what it means to always be there.
87…to teach him that a man’s strength is not the force of his hand or his voice, but the kindness of his heart.
88…to share with him the wisdom he has not yet acquired.
89…to teach him that when no one else is there for him, he will be.
90…to teach him that his role in a family is greater than the work he does.
91…because without him he will have less in life than he deserves.
A DAUGHTER NEEDS A DAD….
92….because without him she will have less in her life than she deserves.
93…who will always make sure she has a place to come home to.
94…so she will know what it is like to be somebody’s favorite.
95…so that she will have at least one hero that will not let her down.
96…who will influence her life even when he isn’t with her.
97…so that when no one else is there for her, she can close her eyes & see him.
98…to teach her what it means to always be there.
99….who will never think she is too old to need him.
100….to teach her what a good man is.
